I don’t feel bad for you.

The picture featured for this blog post made me cry and I think its very relevant for the following piece you are about to read. This piece is a harsh narrative full of advice I have for you and your biggest battles. It is honest and sincere and I hope that it either makes you mad or makes you think. Either way, it will motivate you.

There is a thin line between having compassion and being an enabler of excuses. When I wrote this piece I was thinking about myself and my experiences and what I think people need to hear when facing their problems. When I was in 9th grade my teacher explained that if he gave us an excuse for not doing something the way it should be done, we would accept the excuse and use it, because that is just the way humans are.

In order to succeed we need to stay away from coddling, self-pity, excuses, enablers, and vices.

I do not feel bad for you.

You are going through something.

Its going to be hard to get through it.

I don’t want to hear what it is.

I don’t want you to compare it to how easy someone else has it.

I am not going to tell you that someone has it worse.

I wish the best for you.

I hope you have the best outcome.

I will help you in anyway I can.

I will not judge you.

I will not dislike you.

I will not change the way I feel about you.

I don’t want to hear complaining.

You are responsible for getting through this.

You can do it.

You are strong enough.

You dont need anyone or anything to get you through it.

You only know as much pain as you can handle.

You are the only one that can make it through.

Don’t let anyone give you an excuse.

Don’t accept an excuse you are given.

Don’t make excuses for yourself.

You are not any less excusable because of your situation.

Do you want to make it through this?

Do it on your own.

Don’t feel bad for yourself.

Don’t expect others to give you a free pass.

Get through it.

Move on.

Accept your experiences.

Accept your mistakes.

Accept your wrongdoings

Accept your misfortunes.

Learn from them.

Don’t let them define you.

Let your experiences make you stronger.

Keep going.

Do it because you are strong enough to.

Do it because you are going to show yourself your strength.

If you don’t take my advice I do not feel bad for you.

I don’t want to hear why you gave up.

I don’t want to hear what you used to be.

I don’t want to know who you used to be.

I don’t want to hear your excuses.

I want to see you persevering.

I want you to succeed everyday,

without help,

without an excuse for falling behind,

without an inch of self pity,

If you don’t,

I do not feel bad for you.
